I have joined an amazing cause: Citi employees around the world are banding together for a "virtual" event to walk, run or bike 100 km in 100 days to raise $100,000 toward ending hunger and poverty in our world.
Nearly 1 in 7 of our global human family goes to bed hungry every night. And, though we've come a long way over the last few decades, there are still 7,000 children dying every day of hunger-related causes.
My department (HRSS) is committed to raise as much as we can by July 30. Our goal is millions and gazillions (we like to aim high!). Please join us in our efforts to end hunger and poverty with a gift today.
Let’s make this news viral... please pass it on to your friends, family and colleagues.

MIdnight Man after a little break due family visit during early part of July. Did above event to give this fund raising effort a little kick.
it was a 1.9k swim, 90k bike and 21k run.
In the storm, my tires blew up twice so i could only complete 50k of cycling. Had to run back to transition and continued with the run anyway. total 70K of bike and run combination.

HRSS Infinity @ Mont Blanc It was an uneventful start to this race. Missed my flight because of very silly budget airline process. Bought another ticket, waited for 6 hours at the airport, arrived at Milan and drove 4 hours without GPS to Chamonix. Arrived at 10pm, just 6 hours before race start at 4am Friday.
Yes! at least made it to start line.
The course was exceptionally tough and technical. The alps gave us snow, rocks, boulders, cliffs, streams and constant up / down. The respite were 4 aid stations along the way, where we could gobble down some food and water.
The views at top of the 4 peaks were spectacular though. The mountain range, glaciers, lakes, dam, and Mont Blanc.
20 hours later, after almost 96km and 6km of ascent and descend, finally crossed the line @ midnight Saturday.
1st mission accomplished, lets see what is our next challenge for the hungry people!

$2000 by 28th Jun (FRI) 3am GMT? If we can raise above by that time, which is the start of the race. I will run another 20km after finish line to make 100km. Of course with Garmin to proof.
It will not be easy to make myself go another 20km after running 80km with 6km of climb in the mountains. But will do it if you will support the cause.
It is not about me, participants or our team, its about the Hunger Project.
